Elon musk pays Hostess $250,000 to keep quiet over sexual harassment

Aflight attendant who accused SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk of sexually harassing her on a flight in 2016, was reportedly paid $250,000 to remain silent on the matter. The air hostess was paid by SpaceX in 2018 to settle the claim of sexual misconduct against Elon Musk. Trump sues New York times, niece over tax story

Former US President Donald Trump is suing his niece and the New York Times over a 2018 article that alleged he was involved in "dubious tax schemes". The lawsuit, filed in New York, accuses Mary Trump and newspaper reporters of being "engaged in an insidious plot" to obtain confidential documents. It alleges that Ms Trump, 56, breached a settlement agreement barring her from disclosing the documents. She revealed herself as the source of the story in a tell-all memoir in 2020. Ms Trump, the daughter of Fred Trump Jr, the president's older brother who died in 1981 at the age of 42, has not yet commented on the lawsuit. Mr Trump has consistently rejected the claims made in his niece's book - Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man - and unsuccessfully sued to try to block its publication. Trump treasurer Mnuchin raises $2 billion dollars

While Mnuchin already had experience raising money and a reputation for being a savvy investor, the Trump administration’s close ties to the Middle East brought him nearer to some of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. He traveled to the region regularly, visiting countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates before leaving the government in January. In 2018, Mnuchin was one of the first Western government officials to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, chair of the Public Investment Fund, in the wake of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. With the return to finance, Mnuchin is following a similar path as Treasury predecessors such as Tim Geithner, who went on to become president of private equity firm Warburg Pincus. The Netherlands will go into a strict lockdown from today and over the Christmas and New Year period to contain the highly- contagious Omicron COVID-19 variant, Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Saturday. All non-essential shops and services, including restaurants, hairdressers, museums and gyms will be closed from Sunday until Jan. 14. All schools will be shut until at least Jan. 9. “The Netherlands is again shutting down. That is unavoidable because of the fifth wave that is coming at us with the Omicron variant,” Rutte told a televised news conference. Other measures include a recommendation that households receive no more than two visitors and that gatherings outside are also limited to a maximum of two people.
