Ebresafe, has recounted how officials of the Nigerian Customs Service denied her a job opportunity which she claimed she was qualified for. Ebredafe told Trendingonline24 that she had passed through different stages of screening before she was later called for an acceptance letter at the Nigerian Customs Service office in Abuja. She had applied for the position of a General Duty CUSTOM ASSISTANT CADRE II (CONSOL 03). NCS/C03/858948, which she claimed required a minimum of Junior Secondary Certificate Examination, JSCE. It was also gathered that Ebresafe had passed a screening which was done for her in Owerri before she was notified to visit the Abuja office for her acceptance letter. But the story changed when she got to the Abuja office where her letter was subsequently withdrawn because of a senior secondary school certificate. Suspected Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday killed two men in yet another attack on a village, Ancha in the Miango district in Plateau State. We gathered that the two men were waylaid by the herdsmen while coming from their farm. They were also identified as Daniel James, 32 years and Zakwe Deba, 35years. Fulani herdsmen attacked the two men before shooting them dead. The source also added that police were adequately informed immediately the incident happened. In recent times, the level of insecurity caused by attacks by Fulani herdsmen in the state had increasingly become worrisome. The United States has agreed to resume talks with the Taliban next week in Qatar, to address issues bordering on the fight against terrorism and the humanitarian crisis among other vital issues in Afghanistan, Channels TV reports. Amnesty International on Tuesday stated that it was not surprised by the government’s denial of the Lekki Tollgate incident. The Country Director, Amnesty International, Nigeria, Osai Ojigho revealed this while reacting to the Federal Government’s comment on the Lagos #EndSARS probe panel report on a Channels TV programme. The Federal Government has said it has no direct control over the rising prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, popularly called cooking gas, and cannot regulate it at will. It, however, stated that it was making efforts to reduce the cost of the commodity and make it affordable for Nigerians ahead of the Yuletide.
