Elon musk pays Hostess $250,000 to keep quiet over sexual harassment

Aflight attendant who accused SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk of sexually harassing her on a flight in 2016, was reportedly paid $250,000 to remain silent on the matter. The air hostess was paid by SpaceX in 2018 to settle the claim of sexual misconduct against Elon Musk. Biafra Nation league's Commander shot Dead by Cameroonian armies

Operatives of the Rapid d'intervention Battalion, a Cameroonian military unit in the Bakassi Peninsula, have killed a commander of the pro-Biafra group, the Biafra Nations League.  According to a statement by Ita Bassey, leader of the Bakassi chapter of BNL, the deceased commander was killed during an operation on Wednesday.  The deceased led the armed group who attacked a boat in a bid to abduct the three tourists, and one security personnel onboard. The corpse of the commander has since been handed over to the Nigerian Military, Bassey said. "He was captured in his house, we are not aware if he was part of the attack on the boat on Wednesday, but what we know is that he has been killed and his remains handed to Nigerian Military," he stated. Fulani herdsmen killed 3 persons in Enugu communities

At least three residents of Imama Ugbawka in Nkanu East and Umuhu Eha-Amufu in the Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State have been killed by suspected herdsmen.  According to reports, several other persons were wounded in the attacks which were carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday. During the attack in Ugbawka on Tuesday, the herders allegedly invaded farmland and killed two labourers hired from Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, to cultivate crops on the farm, Eha-Amufu’s incident occurred on Wednesday at Agba-Esher. A community leader in Umuhu, Eha-Amufu, Odo Francis, said the herders numbering about seven with AK-47s blocked Nkalagu-Eha-Amufu Road. “Unfortunately, an Okada rider from Amade Eha-Amufu who was carrying two persons got to the point. Two persons were reportedly killed on Monday by gunmen said to be enforcing the controversial sit-at-home exercise in Enugu.   A Toyota Sienna SUV was also burnt by hoodlums at the crime scene identified as Chris Chemist Bus Stop at about 6:45 am. We learnt that the hoodlums stormed the park and shot a passenger inside the Sienna SUV and another at the bus stop. "They (hoodlums) set ablaze a Sienna bus and tried to burn another vehicle but the driver of the vehicle quickly sped off,” a source said. According to the driver of the vehicle that was burnt, the gunmen arrived at the motor park as he was still awaiting passengers to take to their destinations.   According to a security source, the driver used to load passengers very early every Monday to beat the sit-at-home. A Russian soldier Alexey Bychkov was detained on Saturday, for recording a video of himself sexually abusing a baby.   The arrest comes after Lyudmila Denisova, commissioner for human rights in the Ukrainian Parliament, alleged on Saturday that Russian troops have raped children during the war. In a statement on Telegram, she said a 14-year-old girl in Bucha was raped by five soldiers and as a result is now pregnant.   In another shocking incident, an 11-year-old boy in the same town was also raped in front of his mum, who was tied to a chair and forced to watch.   The ombudswoman added that three soldiers also raped a 20-year-old woman in Irpen.   Bychkov serves in a military unit in Pskov, a Russian town. In a post on his official Twitter page on Sunday, April 10, 2022, Tekno gave fans a big hint that he may feature in Davido's new album. In preparation for the enforcement, the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami has urged citizens and legal residents to use the next few days to ensure that they complete the linkage of their SIM and NIM. This follows the expiration of the approved extension of the NIN-SIM linkage on the 31st of March, 2022 To this end, the Honourable Minister has further directed that the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) should offer enrolment services round-the-clock for the next few days. Pantami also thanked all those who have completed their NIN-SIM linkage. On behalf of the Honourable Minister, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, and the Director-General/CEO of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, urged citizens and legal residents to take advantage of the window to complete the process of enrolment and verification within the next few days.

Telecom companies in Nigeria to increase tariff

Amid the crisis rocking the industry, telecommunication operators, including Globacom, Airtel, MTN and others, have threatened to raise tariffs within seven days if the Nigerian government does not find a solution.  The position of the companies was made known by Gbenga Adebayo, the Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), during a press briefing on Thursday.  Adebayo highlighted the seizure of cellular sites in Kogi, concerns about degrading quality of services in Abuja, high cost of diesel, inflation and safety of telecom workers as part of the issues presently bedevilling the telecoms industry.
